This June will be Michael Jackson’s 5th year anniversary in when he xscaped to the after life. I’ve been waiting for Michael to return and continue making music. However, L.A. Reid has been granted access to Jackson’s archives of unreleased music. This 13th of May will be the release of the late Michael Jackson’s album labeled as Xscape. You can pre-order the album starting today via iTunes. I’ve always had the idea that the king of pop would come back to life and start his world tour that I named The Resurrection Tour. I’m excited to hear and listen to his album. Time for the MJ addicts to get another fresh new fix this year. Attached is the full press release by epic records.
A special appreciation to Greg & Ben and to Far East Movement for granting access to a special performance by Far East Movement last night at The Depot for a birthday celebration.
The crowd was star-stuck when the boys came to the stage causing a riot in the audience! Band members DJ Virman, Prohgress, Kev Nish and J-Splif make up the internationally talented group known as Far East Movement. The show wasn’t a traditional concert and was to support their close friend in celebrating his birthday. Regardless of the DJ set I still believe they put together a killer performance that was so interactive with their fans. No other group have I seen come to the stage with a inflatable rubber-ducky to throw out to crowd. I thought it was a nice innovative way to get the energy of the audience back to flowing to higher heights. Also the inflatable sumo suits were a nice touch that showed that the group has a sense of humor when it comes entertaining their fans.
The only song I was really looking forward to hearing was their newest single Illest. From the first time I heard the intro I automatically knew it would be a long lasting song on the radio. As I enjoyed the first few songs they played I figured they would have Illest close to the end of their performance. The presence that J-Splif and mainly Kev Nish had on stage was so impressive because they both worked the stage from all angles. Ensuring all in attendance would have an enjoyable show to witness not to mention the crowd surfing that took place. Far East Movement brought together beats from Hip hop to electropop that kept the crowd powered up and constantly sharing their experience via snapchat.
When you have a chance to attend their show buy tickets early because it’s sure to sell out. Never was there any dull moments as they were up on stage. Far East Movement will captivate your mind and take you on a musical high.
Originally I had planned not to attend fashion week in February due to the unbearable cold. However, my friend wanted to go for his birthday and last minute we showed up to attend the Fall 2014 runway show. We are truly grateful for the J.Mendel PR team that granted us 2nd row access to the unforgettable show. As for me this was the best way to conclude Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
What had me melting in my seat was the outrageous amount of furs that came down the runway. Furs are beyond luxurious and Gilles Mendel completely understands the lifestyle and what it takes to dress the lavish culture. Innovation and technical expertise with constructing and piecing together furs is Mendel’s notable talent that pushes him to the top of his field. Aside from the outstanding opulent furs he created his evening gowns were delicious to the sight.
My number one favourite is look #28
The multi-colour plaid mink is a simple idea that results to an eye catching reaction. A mink vest with leather detailing that I would wear all week at the Sundance Film Festival.
The white chiffon evening gown was another notable favourite of mine. Look #42
The technical way he drapes chiffon to wear it flows so smoothly is what I love to see.
Check out my instagram video of the finale that I posted on my feed.
Be sure to catch up on what J.Mendel has created on their official website.

On my most recent adventures in Seattle, Washington I went for dinner in the Capitol Hill District where I came across a Jazz and Blues Vocalist that is worth mentioning. She’s also worth going to hear her soulfully sing live at The Kingfish Cafe on every first sunday of the month. Debbie Cavitt and Shirley Lacy were the entertainment for our lovely evening out last night. A surprise to us because we weren’t expecting a live performance when we decided to eat out.
Originally from Dallas, Texas the gospel singing artist is now apart of the Jazz & Blues scene in Seattle, Washington. Cavitt has been active in directing a Children’s Choir and has been the vocalist back-up support for Kenny Loggins on his recent West Coast Tour. Also the voice of King County Metro “I’ll Take You There” commercial. She’s had more other accomplishments and recognition in her music career and I’m blessed to have met and heard her perform.
Walking into the Kingfish Cafe and hearing Cavitt set the mood and tone for the restaurant was so divine. We sat down and the server upgraded us to a different table so that we had the best seats. At the time Cavitt was singing a gospel song that took me away and filled my soul. Her vocals are so powerful and memorable no wonder she’s achieved a lot in her career. Cavitt will tailor the songs she performs for the guest in attendance by observing the crowd in order to guarantee an enjoyable show for everyone. Hearing her cover for Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star for a nine year old to relate and be involved in the show was precious. What surprised me is when she did the cover for the First Time I Ever Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack a song I absolutely love and that’s when Cavitt won my heart!
Back in high school I was the weird kid that wore a plastic crown that you can find at any party supply store. It is in my life mission to obtain a crown of righteous! When that day comes it’ll be a glorious day for me but until then this crown will suffice. It’s close to perfection but still suitable enough for me to want this in my closet. I’d wear this everywhere and to any occasion. The white and gold are a perfect combination that gives an elegant feel to the main accessory. The ferocious jaguar is a key element to this headpiece giving a presence to the individual wearing the crown. The only type of cat I like is the largest cat known to the American continent, the jaguar. There are other crown selections available check them out at qinlee.bigcartel.com/
Below is a throwback of myself rocking out in a normal not so exciting crown.
Recently November came and gone without a new album release from Rihanna and that’s very abnormal for her. Since she’s been releasing her past CD’s every year in November starting back in 2009. Without a new album from my most favourite then I’m at a lost and need to fill the void. Then BEYONCÉ came along without notice and at a complete surprise for thee entire world. Consider this album my layover album until the queen of statistical-online-music-breaking record holder releases her eighth recording.
For me, buying a physical album is a big deal because I don’t do that often unless it’s perfection from start to the last track. An hour or so after Beyoncé secretly allowed buyers to purchase her visual album on iTunes only. There was a big commotion on twitter that got me all excited to hear what she perfectly prepared for listeners. Mind you she is a genius and planned this game changing event in every tiny detail. The fact that she sent out an email to the press at one in the morning describing the reason behind her actions. Yeah she’s a boss and the only reason she’s at the top of the game is because of her musical-innovative mind set. I would love to be like both her and her husband a huge power couple in todays universe.
The song that I absolutely fell in love with first was her tenth track named XO. Maybe because I’m in a vulnerable time right now with being in love. Which is beyond strange for me because I don’t catch feelings I’m a heartbreaker. The lyrics to this song just touches my little heart that I thought didn’t exist. Can I just be kissed out of love rather than lust. Okay too much emotions. My next favourite was Partition and I love it because it’s a dirty-sexual song that just awakens the inner freak that would get busy in the back of a limousine. Being a proud aries the part that excites me more is doing it whilst having a chauffeur drive. Another note worthy song is Pretty Hurts which was the first song and video that my bestfriend showed me. It’s a brilliant message that we all need to take note and apply it in our lives, basically – educate yourself. The song that I’m absolutely stuck on at this vey moment is Rocket because again my heart is in love. Not me but my heart is in love there’s a difference. Beyoncé is a hoe for her husband alone and that’s completely acceptable and I believe is a mature gesture and very beautiful. When two people are in love they always do things together and making love is the biggest gesture of deep affection. ❤ When she sings “Hell yeah, you the shit. That’s why you’re my equivalent.” She gives a great description on what a relationship should be. Equals. In the future as I’m forecasting I believe my next obsession will be track nine Mine.
Are we serving priorities or gods ahead of the God we profess to worship?” -Elder DALLIN H. OAKS.
Okay, back from the holiday break and now it’s time to refocus and buckle down to achieving more this new year. And how can one achieve anything without the Heavenly sent help from above?! This self improvement is one that I need to reiterate and reapply in my life. And I’m sure I’m not the only one out there that needs to revisit this principle. The first part of Elder Oaks talk expands on simple truths on having God as our first priority always.
“The Ten Commandments are fundamental to the Christian and Jewish faiths. Given by God to the children of Israel through the prophet Moses, the first two of these commandments direct our worship and our priorities. In the first, the Lord commanded, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). Centuries later, when Jesus was asked, “Which is the great commandment in the law?” He answered, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matthew 22:36–37).
The second of the Ten Commandments elaborates the direction to have no other gods and identifies what should be the ultimate priority in our lives as His children. “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing” in the heavens or the earth (Exodus 20:4). The commandment then adds, “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them” (Exodus 20:5). More than merely forbidding physical idols, this states a fundamental priority for all time. Jehovah explains, “For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, … shewing mercy unto … them that love me, and keep my commandments” (Exodus 20:5–6). The meaning of jealous is revealing. Its Hebrew origin means “possessing sensitive and deep feelings” (Exodus 20:5, footnote b). Thus we offend God when we “serve” other gods—when we have other first priorities.1“
We have to serve our Master first in anything that we do. Remember “What is our ultimate priority?” when we place God first in all our thoughts and righteous desires we can then move on to our other duties. It’s been promised that when you place our Father in Heaven first then He will definitely make sure you’re taken care of throughout the year. Love God Always is my new CTR [Choose The Right] when we love Him always then we’ll always choose His side, always.
